This is a meeting for the newly-elected NCLRA board of directors to select officers for the business year. This meeting will immediately follow the Annual Owners Meeting.

The Let's Talk Fishing group meets at 5:30 pm each Monday from January 17 through April 1.  Participants discuss fishing tips, tackle and techniques for fishing local lakes, the Barge Canal and the Gulf of Mexico.  Meetings are held in the NCL Clubhouse and typically last one hour.  This is a great way to meet other resident anglers, share fishing experiences and learn from others who are fishing the same waters.

Come try your luck at card bingo Monday nights at 7:00.  Bring your quarters per game and $1.00 for the last game.  Good luck....

Meet at the gate at 11:00 to go to various golf courses.  Please sign up at the Friendship Hall no later than

Monday noon.

First project being taught is a wool applique piece that will include everything you need to complete this project. Any suggestions on something you want to learn let Lorrine know and I will see if we can fit it in. Thanks and come have fun.

One group plays Five Crowns.  Each player puts 50 cents into the pot and the winner gets the pot.

Bring a dish to pass for a pot luck dinner with 70’s food.  Bring your favorite beverage and plates and table service is provided.     There will be a mini Hippee Fest  with fun activities happening in the back yard...   Eating “Pot” Luck dinner will start at 6 ish!     We will be grooving to some classic 70’s music!!   Fun &  games!!!  flower power!!!   You will need a lawn chair for the drum circle & bring your percussion to join in the fun.      Start working on your costume too ....????      Best gal  & Best guy costume picked by  our secret judges!!!       Dancing after dinner.....and a fire with a sing-along after dark.   Peace!   Love! &   Forever Young!!

8 am to noon.  Let your junk be someone else's treasure and make a little extra spending money.  Set up your treasures at the end of your driveway for a yard sale through out the park.  You can also take photos of your items and post on the NCL Facebook page to give buyers a little "preview" of what is for sale.

Be sure to sign up that you will be selling items because we will be creating a map/list of all the lots that plan to be selling items.

Create your favorite salad and bring it to friendship hall to share with your neighbors and friends. Also remember to bring your table service and beverage of choice. This event will be immediately followed by a dance to the music of Rearview Mirror.

We will be displaying NCL residents' diverse creative interests and talents in an exhibit on Saturday at 

 the year end picnic. As in other years, we are hoping for woodworking, crafts, beading,  Hospice projects, fishing lure collections, artwork, quilting and other displays. Please limit your display to three items or  one grouping so we have enough room for all.

This is not a vendor sale, just a chance to be proud of our vast array of talent. Please bring your project  to the Friendship  hall at 1pm on Saturday so we can arrange the exhibit.  If you plan to participate and have not been contacted, please call Linda Asiala so we can reserve your spot in the exhibit. 231-409-5066.

The Activities, Entertainment, and Dinners committee cordially invite you to join us for an end of winter season picnic.  The picnic food will consist of a pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, and dessert.  This meal is free of charge, but does require that you pre-register so we have an accurate count of the attendees.  

 

NOTE:  Table service WILL be provided for this event.  You will need to bring your own outdoor chair, and your beverage of choice.  This event takes place outdoors, so please prepare for the elements.  This event will be followed by an outdoor dance to the tunes of the Boogie Brothers, which begins at 3:00 PM.

 

Social hour begins at 1:30 PM with dinner at 2:00 PM.  

An outdoor party (weather permitting) under the tent with the Boogie Brothers.  This end of winter season party will be preceded by a meal provided by the Activities, Entertainment, and Dinners committee.
