Trimming the dog park fenceline
Thursday, February 5th, 2026, 9:30am to 12pm at North Dog Park - see description as to where that is
Come on out and help us trim the foliage and install fencing at the temporary North Dog Park.
In order to spruce up the existing (South) dog park, we need to have a place as a temporary dog park. The gates should be finished by Friday. We need to trim some weeds and palmettos, attach a fence and we should be good to go !
Drag along all your dog owner friends and neighbors - bring water, gloves, sunscreen loppers if you have them, wear long sleeves. No experience necessary !
Where is the temporary North Dog Park ?
From behind the current dog park, head north past the back of the maintenance building, continue walking up to the Bone Yard. The 'soon-to-be' temporary dog park is on your left. it's the strip of vacant property between North Storage and the north property line. It's more than twice as big as the South dog park - great for those energetic dogs who need exercise !

Volunteers needed - Annual trimming of the grasses

Every year we do a little landscape maintenance /refresh in late winter in preparation for SPRING !!
We need volunteers to help trim ornamental grasses which have gone past/turned brown and prune plants from the latest cold snap. We'll start out front, move in the Nature Watch Islands and onto the Clubhouse area.
We'll identify any plants which are overgrown and dig up, split and relocate.
We'll discuss replacing or filling gaps on the silverthorn hedge, the colorful "tropicals" vs. native /cold tolerant options.
Should be a bit warmer by Saturday - high in the mid/upper 60's. If you've been cooped up, this is your chance to get outside and chat with your neighbors while getting some work done for the park.
Everyone is invited to lend a hand - no experience required.
Please bring water / sunscreen / work gloves / shovel / loppers / hedge trimmers if you have them. We've found electrical hedge trimmers work best on the pink muhly grass and fakahatchee.

There is one (1) open position for a 3-year term on the Board of Directors, and one (1) owner filed an Intent to be a Candidate by the required deadline -- Marty Beeker.
The Meet The Candidates event will no longer be held. In accordance with NCL Bylaw Article III, Directors - Section 9, Election, an election and balloting are not required. Marty Beeker will be officially named to the 3-year Board position at the Annual Owners Meeting on March 7, 2026.

Town Hall - Review of AOM Agenda Items

TOWN HALL -- REVIEW OF AOM AGENDA ITEMS Please plan to join us on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in Friendship Hall for the Town Hall to review agenda items to be voted on for the upcoming 2026 Annual Owners Meeting (AOM) on March 7. This is an opportunity to better understand the agenda items and ask questions prior to the launch of the vote on February 12th.
Deadline to submit the COMPLETED AND FORMATTED agenda items is January 26, 2026 for AOM Committee review. The owner's name will accompany the agenda item. We recommend that owners submitting the agenda item be present at the Town Hall to answer questions, if you wish. AOM Committee volunteers do not answer questions about submitted agenda items. For questions and information on guidelines please email vote@nclrv.com well in advance of the submission deadline. Instructions can be found on the website under Owner Documents, Owners Meeting Documents, 2026 Owners Meeting. You must be signed in to access these documents.

Pickleball
Thursday, February 26th, 2026, 9am to 12pm at Buddy Risher park in Inglis
We play pickleball Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9am to whenever. There are four court's with nets. We have players from NCL and Inglis. We welcome experienced and new players who want to learn.
The courts are open during the daylight hours and anybody can use them.

CANCELLED AOM Volunteer Committee

THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. The AOM Volunteer Committee will meet for the third and final meeting on February 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Friendship Hall. The purpose of the meeting it to finalize the details for the Annual Owners Meeting.
Corn Hole/Thirsty Thursday
Thursday, February 26th, 2026, 1pm to 5pm at Behind Friendship Hall
Come out and play some CORNHOLE every Thursday behind Friendship Hall. Meet your neighbors and have a few laughs. Bring a chair and just watch the entertainment if you don't play.
We will be combining Cornhole Thursday with Thirsty Thursday.
Bring your beverage of choice and a snack to share. There are other games you can play like horseshoes, bocce ball, table tennis.
Come on up have some fun and shoot the breeze with your fellow neighbors.
Card Bingo

We would like to request to play card Bingo on Thursday nights at 7:00pm to 8:00pm. If permitted would like to start it on Thursday- February 19,2026. This game is played with regular playing cards and many people enjoyed in years past.

Street Golf

Coming soon to a street near you! Friday, February 27th at 1:00 pm Meet by the North Storage Gate. We are going to try Street Golf! This is a work in progress and will evolve as we try and figure some things out! We will start with 9 holes! (actually buckets!) Street Golf is basically Put-Put in the street. We have plenty of golf balls. And we have Putters!
It's a fun way, to get out, meet new people, get in some activity and enjoy the Florida Sunshine!

6th Annual Cornhole Tournament 2026

Join us for NCL's 6th Annual Cornhole Tournament on February 28th @ 11am. Round robin Switchholio Entry fee is $10 per person. Individuals can use their own bags. We are playing League play at 27 feet apart. Deadline to sign up is midnight February 25th. Good luck everyone!!!! RSVP will close at midnight on 2/25
