We will be decorating the Friendship Hall Clubhouse on December 5th around 12pm if anyone is interested in helping come on up to the hall.

An NCL tradition!  Soup or Chili pot luck.  Bring your favorite soup or chili to share.  Be sure to bring a muffin pan so you can sample the many options.  You might also want to bring some small paper cups to sample the variety.

 

After soup we will have a showing of the 2018 Variety Show.  Stay and share lots of laughs.

A blast from the past.....  After you fill your belly with all the wonderful Soup Options, stay around and watch a showing of the 2020 (2nd season) of the NCLRV Variety Show.  If you like Carol Burnett, Hee Haw, Saturday Night Live, and other funny variety shows, you REALLY NEED TO SEE HOW NCL does it!  

 

You may want to bring a comfortable chair or pillow.  Also, a wrap, sweater or blanket if you get chilly.

We will be serving breakfast from 8:00 til 9:30.

Calling all cornhole players and any beginners.  We are going to have a progressive cornhole tournament with the women and men being separate. That also depends on if we get enough of each to sign up and if not we’ll throw everyone together. This tournament will consist of different lots hosting. We will begin at the friendship hall in back at noon and will draw for lots and partners. After each game we’ll all go back to the friendship hall and redraw. This will happen after every game. We will all be using the bags and boards that are on the host lots. We are also looking for host lots and extra boards and bags. With that being said keep in mind that the lots have to be fairly level. I will also be checking out any boards and bag’s being donated for the tournament so as everything can be as fair as possible. Remember that this is a fun tournament for all beginners and good players. We will be charging $5 a person and depending on how many entries we get will depend on prize money. So let’s have fun this winter and enjoy being with all our friends in the park.

Due to popular demand, we're having another round of Fall Clean up.

It’s predicted to be SUNNY and a hi of 64 for Friday – PERFECT for our fall clean up items.            

Bring rake, gloves, maybe loppers, leaf blower, tarp  and shrub trimmers if you have them.  

Always bring water or coffee             

Tasks to Do:         

   Rake all the debris left over from the three storms – use gator and trailer to haul to yard waste dumpster.

   Propane tank area, around and behind owner tool /activity sheds  

   Pool and clubhouse is DONE ! ·        

   Trim the shrubs by the pool - DONE ! ·        

   Trim the shrubs on west side on mailbox island (complaint that they scratch RVS) ·        

   Trim the silver thorns south side of Friendship Hall ·        

   Dig around the bougainvillea on south side of FH in prep for transplanting in February.  ·        

   Clean up the plant rehab area ·        

   Need to add fill around Mule palm #3 – the one which blew over during Milton ·        

   Identify which plants out front need to be dug up and split.  

   (We’ll be cutting down the ornamental grasses next month.)

Merry Christmas!! Dinner is at 4:00 with social hour starting at 3:30. Ham is provided by the Activities.  You will need to sign up online if you are planning on attending so the committee will know how much meat to prepare.  You are asked to prepare a side dish that will go with the Ham and/or dessert to share you will be asked when you sign up what you plan to bring.

Family Feud Christmas edition!  Stay for fun and games after Christmas Dinner.  We will play Family Feud with our NCL Family.  Get your teams of 4 together and please sign up so we can make the Team Name Signs.  Get creative with your team names.  Let's have some fun with this!   Or, if you don't have a team, come and watch and laugh with us.  We will build the teams from the floor if we need more players.

This is a REMINDER to register for the News Years Day, January 1, 2025 NCL breakfast.  Be sure to register by December 29 so enough food can be purchased and prepared.
