Three Sisters Free Day
Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, 9am to 3pm at Three Sisters
On Saturday, December 2, visitors may explore the Three Sisters Springs property for FREE from 9 am to 3 pm during the Open House.
The Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge volunteers will offer guided interpretive tours of the boardwalk and wetlands.
The Friends of the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge Complex (Friends) will offer free bus transportation from Kings Bay Plaza to the event. Handicap-accessible parking is available and walk-ins are welcome.
The Open House will include fun for the entire family. See manatees from the boardwalk, create a manatee mask, shop in the Nature Store, and stay for lunch! The Jarrito Burrito Taco Truck will donate proceeds from lunch sales to the Friends to support refuge programs, including environmental education, outreach, and wildlife monitoring and research.

Drum Circle

2nd Sunday each month at sunset.
Description
Come join us in rhythm and dance for our monthly drum circle at the end of Ft Island Trail at the beach out of Crystal River. Turn west at Grannies, and Plantation sign on Hwy 44 West aka Ft Island Trail. We will meet at 6:00 PM. Remember, if it is raining, the drum circle will be cancelled.
Dancers please join us as well - the group will play some rhythms slow enough for you to do some expressive belly and other dancing. You are our reason for playing! We love to make you dance!
If you smoke, please step away from the circle (downwind) to do so. Please don't smoke in the drum circle for the comfort of non smokers.
Children are welcomed with supervision...We will have some shakers and a few drums to share. Bring your drums and shakers, American native flutes and digeradoos, anything conductive to world percussion.

We will be leaving the park at 7:45 AM tomorrow (Saturday) promptly to head to Bushnell National Cemetery to place wreaths on the graves of those who sacrificed so much for us. If you want to carpool, please show up about 10 minutes early at the clubhouse to figure that out. Hope to see many there.
NCL Christmas Parade

To be in the Christmas parade you must decorate your golf cart or bike. We will meet at the FH for the judges to view. At this time you can drop off a Christmas snack to share. Then we will ride around the park. We will end up back at FH for the judges to view again in the dark (in case some are decorated with lights) Then we will enjoy snacks, have some fun and give out prizes for best decorated cart/bike. THERE WILL NOT BE JUDGING OF LOTS THIS YEAR.

The community is invited to come and enjoy Sebastian’s Winter Wonderland, a spectacular, synchronized light and sound show. A variety of entertainment will be offered nightly and refreshments will be available. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park.
The suggested donation is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

Christmas Gift Exchange

7 pm. Buy a wrapped or gift bagged item no more than $10.00 for you to share under the Christmas tree. Each attendee will be given a number when they arrive, which will be used to select the order in which presents are selected. Once an item is selected and opened, it may only be exchanged a total of 3 times. Please try to select fun gifts for the exchange. (HINT: Alcohol is always a successful gift idea). This event is a blast.
Even if you don't plan on attending the dinner, you may join us for this event after dinner.

Homassasa Springs Celebration of Lights

The annual Celebration of Lights at the Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park will run six evenings from December 19 through Christmas Eve, and then again on December 26 for an after-Christmas party. The community is invited to come and enjoy Sebastian’s Winter Wonderland, a spectacular, synchronized light and sound show. A variety of entertainment will be offered nightly and refreshments will be available. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park.
The suggested donation is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

9 am. Every Tuesday morning meet at Shrimp Landing for breakfast ( cost based on your appetite) at 9:00 then on to Robinson Ranch at 10:00. The cost is $5.50 per round. We usually shoot 2 rounds. Ammo is extra.
Golf

FORE!!!! Everyone with all abilities or come and learn to play golf. Please join us every Tuesday to play 9 holes at the various courses in the areas. All abilities welcome for the friendly game....meet at the gate Tuesday morning at 11:00 to car pool to the course. Sign up at the Friendship Hall by Monday noon....19th hole food and drinks after golf.....

Kayaking

Meeting at hunters Springs at 10:30 am, they have a very nice beach. We will be kayaking from there and viewing and snorkeling with the manatees,hopefully...
Bring beach stuff if you want to hang out at the beach, great swimming/snorkling area there with a nice spring.
There is a fee if you want to park in the park five dollars per day or one dollar per hour for the first two hours . There is a lot a public parking that is free if it’s not Full.
