Water Plant maintenance work scheduled

The electricians are currently installing the panel in the water plant which will allow the well pumps to alternate when they do run. (Danny has been keeping everyone up to date at the board meetings regarding this work)
The electricians advise that they will be ready to connect the wiring between 11 pm and 3pm tomorrow. They advise that this process should not take longer than an hour. We will ensure that the water tank is full before they start however you may experience some low water pressure during this time.
Please will you keep water usage to a minimum and do not water your garden during this time.

Bike Ride, Donnellon Trailhead to Hernando Burger Station
Thursday, November 9th, 2017, 10:30am to 1pm at Withlacoochie State Trail
Lynn and I will lead a bicycle ride on the Withlacoochee State Trail, starting at the northern terminus in Dunnellon (2233 W Magenta Drive, Citrus Springs) and ride to Burger Station in Hernando for lunch. Total riding distance will be approximately 20-21 miles round trip. We will caravan from the front gate at 10:30 am, or meet us at the trailhead at approximately 11:00 am.
Those wanting to ride a shorter distance can start at the South Citrus Springs trailhead (64 W Citrus Springs Blvd. Citrus Springs) and cut about 9 miles off the total distance.
Be advised, Burger Station does not accept plastic, so bring cash. (there is an ATM on site, who knows what fee is for it)

To honor veterans, entry into Florida's state parks* will be fee free on Saturday, November 11, 2017 for Veterans Day for everyone. User fees for camping, canoe and kayak rentals and other services still apply. *excludes the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park.
Veterans Day Event
Saturday, November 11th, 2017, 5pm to 10pm at FH Inside
Come celebrate and honor our Veterans with a fried chicken dinner, memorial celebration, and ending with a Patriotic Karaoke and Cocktails party. You must purchase tickets for this event for the dinner, however the celebration and Karaoke is open to all residents at no charge. Dinner will be served inside Friendship Hall.
The evening begins with an inside the park Veteran's Parade. We ask that all Veteran's please gather at the flagpole in front of Friendship Hall at 5:00 PM. The Veteran's will be escorted around NCL on a "float" and then will return to the flagpole for a brief ceremony. The evening continues with before dinner cocktails at 5:30 and dinner at 6:00. Following dinner, a visual and audible ceremony will take place followed by an evening of patriotic karaoke. Please join us.
Remember to bring your our table service and drinks for dinner.

Road trip to Micanopy
Wednesday, November 15th, 2017, 9am to 2:30pm at Harry Beckwiths indoor gun range
Arrangements have been made to allow use of the gun range for a flat rate of $7.00 per person, (plus any needed supplies or ammo)
Micanopy is a quaint town with many antique stores, museums and restaurants so those not interested in shooting can come along.
It's about an hour's drive from NCL. A sign up sheet will be at friendship hall, if you have any questions, contact Frank Ogborn.
