Please come out and join us . . . If you've been out to the Front Entrance in the past few days, you may have seen plants waiting to be planted. We are replacing some of long dead shrubs and adding some color.

Based on the weather and available volunteers, we're going to break this project into smaller chunks.

     1. DONE:  The front sign: we have silver palmettos to place in front of the sign poles, add muhly grasses, flax lilly and blanket flowers

     2.  DONE:  The median strip:  removing some of the grasses and wind blown Ti plants, adding ginger, crotons, flax lily and blanket flowers

     3.  The Sylvester palm island between the gates:  installing a new memorial dwarf crepe myrtle, a Black Diamond Red Hot, adding fakahatchee grasses, the lillies and blanket flowers

     4.  Silverthorns on the north side of the exit - the long dead ones will be replaced by new ones which will fill in the holes in the shrubs

     5.  IN PROGRESS:  Wood chips: we have a pile of fresh wood chips which need to be spread under the south silverthorns to aid in water retention.
