| US Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Course | |
| Location: | Clubhouse |
| Time: | 9am to 1pm |
| Description: | Several states now require that operators of motorboats of 10hp or greater carry proof of having completed an approved boating safety course. Florida requires this course for all boat operators born on or after January 1, 1988. Other states require this certification for all boat operators, irrespective of age, or, similar to Florida, require this certification for all boat operators born on or after a certain date. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary provides an 8 hour boating safety course which meets the state requirements. NCL residents Bill and Helen Cummings are members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and certified instructors for the boating safety course. They have graciously offered to present the course at NCL. The course will be presented in two 4 hour sessions on Tuesday Feb 23 and Wednesday Feb 24 from 9am to 1pm in the clubhouse. Cost of the course is $15 to cover the required course book. A couple may share the course book. Course is limited to 18. If interested in attending this course, please contact John O'Connor, Lot 24 in person, by e-mail at joconnor47@aol.com or by telephone at 703-298-0570.
