Join us for a fun day of biking on the beautiful Courtney Campbell Causeway Bike Trail on Tuesday, March 21st – which goes over the water between Clearwater and Tampa. There are two options for those who may want a longer or shorter ride...and we'll all gather for lunch afterwards. Please note it's an approximate 1.5 hour drive - so plan your departure time according to the option you choose.

Option 1: 22 Mile Ride

Meet at approximately 10:00 – 10:15 a.m. at:

2780 Drew Street

Clearwater, Florida

(Free parking on left side of Drew St. next to softball fields. If you get to McMullen Booth Road, you've gone too far. Restrooms available.)

We will bike approximately 11 miles to Whiskey Joes Bar & Grill (12:15 p.m. group reservation under NCL), 7720 W. Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa, Florida 33607

After lunch, ride the 11 miles back to Drew Street parking, and the trip home. Maybe even a brewery stop on the way back!

 

Option 2:  Design your own ride.

Meet at approximately 10:30 – 10:45 a.m. at:

Ben T. Davis Beach (Next door to Whiskey Joes at the end of the Causeway on the right.)

Paid parking. Restrooms available. Don't attempt to park at Whiskey Joes.

Park at the beach and ride on the trail as far as you'd like...it's entirely up to you how far you go. You may even meet up with the Option 1 riders, turn around and ride together...based on how far you ride. There are several beach areas along the way, covered picnic tables and places to enjoy the view of the bay. If you get back before our 12:30 lunch reservation, they have a great tiki bar to hang out.

BRING LOCKS FOR LOCKING UP YOUR BIKES EITHER ON YOUR VEHICLE IN THE BEACH PARKING LOT OR FOR THE BIKE RACK AT THE RESTAURANT.

 

PLEASE REGISTER BY FRIDAY, MARCH 17  - WHEN WE WILL BE FINALIZING OUR RESERVATION WITH THE RESTAURANT – AND SO WE HAVE AN IDEA WHO IS COMING TO EACH LOCATION. BE SURE TO INDICATE EITHER:

OPTION 2 AND LUNCH.
